But the fairness of women paying less for car insurance has been challenged in the past on the basis of gender discrimination. In 2005, the European Union debated whether insurers could legitimately charge less for lady driver car insurance.

So statistically, women are safer drivers making it fair to charge less for women’s car insurance.
