Buying a policy
- Why should I choose Churchill European Rescue Service?
European Breakdown Cover can help give you peace of mind when driving in Europe. We cover your car and caravan in the event of a break down. Our English speaking operators are standing by 24 hours a day to arrange help, when you need it.
- How much does European Breakdown Cover cost?
Our cover is charged by the day, so that you don't end up paying for more than you need, and if you take out our travel insurance at the same time, you can save even more.

- Who provides your breakdown services
We have joined forces with Green Flag Motoring Assistance. Green Flag provide the breakdown service to you on behalf of Churchill. Green Flag is renowned for providing exceptional service.
- When I buy breakdown cover, can I use the service straight away
Cover will commence from the due departure date of the trip. Pre-departure cover is not applicable if you have purchased the policy within 7 days of departure.

- Do I have breakdown cover if someone else drives my car?
Your car is covered whoever is driving it.
- What do I do if I need to cancel my breakdown cover?
If the cover does not meet your needs, please call us immediately on 0845 603 3550, or return all your documents within 14 days of receiving them to; Churchill Insurance Company Limited, Churchill Court, Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent BR1 1DP. We will return any premium you have paid in full as long as you have not made any claims during that time. You must pay the full premium if you have made a claim during that time.
- Is my caravan or trailer covered?
We will be able to offer cover with an appropriate charge made, providing that the trailer/caravan is not over 16 years of age and meets our vehicle dimension criteria. Further details can be found in our policy document.
Payment
- How can I pay for my policy?
If you would like to buy your policy online, we can accept payment from the following Credit or Debit cards in one lump sum: Visa, Access, MasterCard, American Express and Switch.
- Is it safe to pay for my policy on the Internet?
Yes. Our site uses 128-bit encryption that disguises and protects your personal and payment details and prevents them from being accessed by or disclosed to third parties.
Claims
- What is the excess on my Churchill breakdown services policy?
Our breakdown policies have no excess.
- What type of breakdown incident does Churchill cover?
Incidents that we cover are breakdown, accident (but not a road traffic accident), theft or attempted theft, malicious damage, fire or attempted fire, flat type, lack of fuel, flat battery, lost or broken keys.
