Breakdown cover assumptions - saving you time with your quote

In order to keep the questions we need to ask you to a minimum, we have made a number of assumptions about you, your vehicle and any drivers. Please take the time to read through these assumptions, as they will be part of your Churchill Breakdown Insurance Cover contract. If any of the assumptions are not correct you should contact us to obtain a quote.

 

 

 
 

  • All drivers MUST be 17 years of age, hold a valid UK/EU driving licence and be permanently resident in the UK
  • The vehicle(s) MUST be privately registered to and kept at your address
  • Cover is only available for either: motor car; motorcycle; light van; three-wheeler or car-based van which is privately registered in the United Kingdom, providing it carries no more than the number of persons recommended by the manufacturer and does not exceed (including any load carried) the following gross vehicle weight and dimensions: 3,500kg in weight, 7m in length, 3m in height and 2.25m in width. We also cover a standard caravan or trailer whilst being towed. Please see the policy wording for more details on the types of vehicle we cover
  • You (and the other main driver where applicable) can use the vehicle in connection with your respective businesses where applicable. The vehicle may not be used for hire or reward including taxis, or for carrying goods for reward or for use in connection with the motor trade
  • Your business (and that of the other main driver where applicable) or the business of your respective employers MUST NOT in any way be connected with any of the following: the entertainment or fashion industry, professional sports, foreign service or diplomatic personnel, scrap or salvage merchants, general dealers or market traders, mini-cab drivers or controllers
  • Vehicles MUST be in working order at the date cover is applied for
  • You accept this policy on an automatic renewal basis and agree to us automatically renewing your policy each year using the payment details given when you purchased the policy unless you ask us not to
