The Fox family has a new four-legged member after TV and radio star Neil Fox rehomed a canine called Bonzo from Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

Broadcaster Neil paid a visit to the home, and took his new pet - a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell cross puppy - home with him.

Bonzo arrived at Battersea last month after his previous owners could no longer look after him.

Neil and his wife Vicky also took their three children along to the animal charity centre and Scarlet, 10, Jack, 9, and Martha, 5, all fell head over heels for Bonzo.

Neil said: "If I had tried to create my perfect little dog, it would look just like Bonzo, a lovable little mutt! As soon as we saw his photo we knew he was the perfect dog for us and he's just adorable.

"He is our first family dog and is now a new member of the Fox family, so we can't wait to get him home."

Once he's been made at home, Bonzo will be treated to long country walks and lots of attention. He is sure to be looked after well, but the family should take out pet insurance to ensure Bonzo remains a healthy pup.

Son Jack said: "I think Bonzo will be a really cute dog, and I'm looking forward to playing with him and talking him for lots of walks. I think it's going to be really fun."
