Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Following the Government’s announcement asking everyone to stay at home, we’re making some changes to the way we work to make sure we’re looking after our people and our customers. We’re setting up as many of our colleagues as possible to work from home, but this will take a few days.

In the short-term, we’re only accepting new business online. That means new customers can’t buy insurance over the phone.

Existing customers: Please don’t phone unless it’s absolutely necessary.

We need to prioritise:

  • Customers who have an urgent claim, for example your car is undrivable following an accident, you are injured, or your home is uninhabitable.
  • Customers who can’t pay now as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, call us - we want to help you.

If you have questions about your renewal or want to make a change to your policy, you can use our virtual assistant. If your policy is due to renew in the next week and you haven’t opted for auto-renewal, please call us. If you have opted for auto-renewal, please make sure your insurance still meets your needs.

Homeowner insurance

If you’re a UK homeowner, then you should be able to take advantage of Churchill’s home insurance.

Not only is our home cover range affordable, it also comes with a host of benefits. We offer both buildings cover and contents cover and you can buy these separately or together. Essentially, Churchill buildings insurance gives you cover against loss or damage to home buildings up to £1,000,000. Our contents insurance give you cover against loss or damage to home contents of up to £50,000. Firstly just check our assumptions page – If you answer yes to everything on the list then you are ready to apply for a quote online. If you cannot answer yes to all of the assumptions, please call us to see if we can provide you with a quote. For your online quote, simply fill in the secure form online and your premium will be calculated. Make sure you select any additional cover you need such as personal possessions, Family Legal Protection or personal possessions. Once you confirm you wish to go ahead with the quote, and you have agreed with our terms and conditions then you are ready to buy – you could be insured straight away.
